Membership to the Flying Scot fleet
association in automatic with a membership to CSA and ownership of a
Flying Scot. A small additional fee is assessed per season to
support our fleet activities. This is a very nominal fee and is
typically as little as $5.00 to $10.00 unless a major national
regatta is planned.
Flying Scot members are encouraged to
join the National Flying Scot Association
(FSSA) but this is strictly
voluntary. A strong national organization is important both to
extend your sailing experience beyond our own club by participation in
events of other clubs, and also to help maintain the value of your
Flying Scot and its re-sale value.
FSSA promotes the adherence
to the one design concept means that the Flying Scot built this year
will remain compatible and competitive for years to come with newer as
well as older boats. FSSA promotion of the Flying Scot
maintains the boats popularity and hence, value, Currently FSSA is
one of the strongest one-design class associations in the world.
Join
the Flying Scot Sailing Association, or renew your membership online.
Belonging to FSSA, you will receive our
official publication, Scots n' Water, six times a year.
